Zooming in on Europe: a new, high-resolution land cover map
Scientists at the CBK PAN have developed a fast new method to automatically classify land cover at high resolution. A prototype map of Europe has just been released under a contract with the European Space Agency.

Progress in the ILR-33 Amber project
In October 2017, the Warsaw based Institute of Aviation’s ILR-33 Amber rocket was in-flight validated for the first time, thus becoming the world’s first rocket utilizing in flight H2O2 of concentration exceeding 98%.
The Space Scale-Up lands in Gdansk
The Demo Day of the accelerator Space3ac Intermodal Transportation took place on the 29th of March. The accelerator combined the needs of large enterprises with solutions based on satellite techniques. The program supported 27 startups that implemented their ideas in 11 large enterprises.
Grzegorz Brona appointed as the new director of the Polish Space Agency
On March 13th the Rzeczpospolita daily paper stated that the new director of POLSA had been selected. Dr Grzegorz Brona was chosen to led the agency.
The European Rover Challenge 2018
The fourth edition of the European Rover Challenge will be held in Poland, on September 14th – 16th, 2018, at the Museum of Nature and Technology in Starachowice.
