Project HATCH Design Review

On June 25-26th, 2018 the Design Review of the HATCH project took place in Barcelona. The project, coordinated by Blue Dot Solutions, is funded under European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.

During the first day of the event, the HATCH Team presented the progress of work within the project, focusing on the results of the Design Work Package – arguably, one of the most important parts of the project.

Design Review Meeting in Barcelona / HATCH

The Open Meeting was attended by stakeholders participating both in person and online. Apart for disclosing for the first time in public the visual design of the HATCH portal, one of the consortium members, Spanish Technology Centre Eurecat, explained and showcased how we run different tests to elicit feedback from potential web portal users; volunteers are asked to perform several actions on the prototype of the web portal and the data is subsequently analysed so that our designer team can carry out necessary improvements. During the meeting, our guests were invited to provide their feedback – also during role-playing and brainstorming activities.

Inputs from stakeholders are especially valuable to us, as HATCH’s principal aim is to become the key tool for anyone interested in the European space industry. It’s an opportunity to follow events, publish information about own projects, find prospective partners and search for and utilise results from previously completed projects. In short, it’s a one-stop shop for the state of the art in European space research and innovation!

The HATCH project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 776357
