The Polish and Brazilian Space Agencies have signed a cooperation agreement.

During an official visit in Brazil, prof. Marek Banaszkiewicz, the president of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) with the president of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) José Raimundo Braga Coelho signed an agreement document on cooperation in space exploration and usage of outer space .

The document is a necessary first step in developing cooperation between Poland and Brazil in the field of astronautics. It will be valid for 5 years and provide a cooperation framework in, among others: space science, astrophysics, Solar System exploration, usage of satellite data, climate science, telecommunications, scientific experiments, exchange of scientific data, green satellite propellants and small launch vehicles.

The Polish delegation also consisted of vicechairmain of Polish Lower House (Sejm) Jerzy Wenderlich, ambassador of Poland in Brazil Andrzej Braiter, military attache cpt. Janusz Pałka, wicepresident of POLSA gen. Lech Majewski, chief of the parliamentary space group Bogusław Wontor, director of the Polish Warfare Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa) Jolanta Świeściak, and prof. Piotr Wolański from the Aviation Institute.
