The HATCH presented its results at an international space event in Lithuania.
Last week in Vilnius an event took place organised by the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology in collaboration with the Lithuanian Space Contact Point, working closely with the European Space Contact Point Network COSMOS2020 plus and the European Commission. The goal was to open more doors for Baltic companies and institutions to develop European Commission financed Horizon 2020 space projects and attract funding. HATCH project representatives were invited to participate in this event to share their experience.
The digital communications company WIT Berry from Latvia represented the HATCH project consortium. Its representatives Linda Kimeiša and Guna Valtere shared their experience of writing a project application and implementing a project, drawing stakeholders’ attention to various nuances that need to be considered in project writing. It was also a great opportunity to establish new contacts with representatives from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland and many other countries and showcase HATCH features and possibilities in writing Horizon 2020 proposals.
European Commission representative Marko Curavic participated in the event, providing especially important information for planning Horizon 2020 projects. There were other representatives of the European Commission and COSMOS2020 plus as well as organisations and institutions from Poland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, Croatia, Estonia, Italy, Germany and Latvia.
In November a similar event will take place in Poland, and participation will definitely be worthwhile for any company that plans to submit project applications for the last Horizon 2020 call. Other similar events are planned in other EU countries.
