If you have a good and innovative idea (application) for satellite navigation use, a number of prizes dedicated to the Polish edition of this competition are waiting for you! Do not loose time – an investment in your startup is possible!
Starting from the 1st of April 2015, you can sign up at the European Galileo Masters competition and submit your idea for satellite navigation use. The proposals may come from individuals, teams, organizations or companies. Ideas for Global Navigation Satellite System usage may relate to any branch of science, economy or daily life. It can be an innovative service, product or idea for scientific research. Applications have to be submitted till June 30th.
Since 2004, over 8 000 people have submitted more than 8 500 ideas to the Galileo Masters competition. Among the submitted projects over 200 winners and finalists were selected. Afterwards the ideas were numerously launched in form of start-ups.
This year the winner will get a chance to win various prizes and the title of the winner of the competition. What is more, the regional winner will be able to compete for the main prize (20 000 EUR). Last year, the Polish edition of the competition was among the most successful ones in the number of submitted proposals. Besides the monetary prizes and paid internships for the winners, there were also some extras to gain, such as IT services, consulting and advisory services. The most important still, is a chance to get an investment.
Galileo Masters has been organized in Poland two times so far. In 2014, the title of the Polish Galileo Master and a cash prize of 10 000 PLN was given to the “Hyent” project. The winners presented an idea of using satellite navigation in a commercial environment that contains gamification elements. Participation in the contest let the originators develop the product concept which is currently planned to be launched into the market.
The last edition of the Polish competition was organized by the Kosmonauta.net and Blue Dot Solutions companies in association with Black Pearls VC capital fund and the Pomeranian ICT Cluster Interizon. The Golden Partners were the Centre for Innovation and Technology of Radom and the Industry Development Agency. Strong support was also provided by Astri Poland (Silver Partner), GMV Innovating Solutions, SmallGIS and Creotech Instruments (Bronze Partners), AIP Business Link, PCPD, Intel Polska and Polakpotrafi.pl (Award Sponsors).
