For the fourth time in a row Kosmonauta.net representatives were accepted to speak at the prestigious International Astronautical Congress. This year’s edition of this conference will be held in Beijing.
The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is probably the most important professional annual event for the space sector. For almost a week, the representatives from various countries come attend this conference to present their achievements from the scientific, technical, economical, organisational and political fields. Every year, the IAC is visited by thousands of specialists.
Every year the IAC is held in a different city on a different continent. In 2010 the conference was held in Prague, Czech Republic. During the following year the host city was Cape Town, South Africa. In 2012 the IAC was held in Naples, Italy. At all of these conferences the Kosmonauta.net representatives were giving presentations. The next IAC will be held in Toronto, Canada.
For the fourth time in a row the abstracts of Kosmonauta.net were accepted. This time we have sent two abstracts. The first one deals with the achievements of the Polish space industry during the first year within the European Space Agency (ESA), whereas the second one focuses on innovative outreach activities of Kosmonauta.net services.
A very important element of the IAC is the exhibition of companies and institutes from the space sector. A significant number of these entities search for future partners at this event. This year we should observe a strong promotion of Chinese companies and R&D institutes, which in the last several years have been very active in entering several new markets around the World.
The International Astronautical Congress is an unique event, during which it is possible to establish contacts and even start cooperation with entities from other countries. In result, the commercial and institutional entities can become more competitive, which in turn could lead to a greater innovation potential of the space sector.
