They will be joined by many industry experts, including Chad Anderson, Managing Director of European Operations from Space Angels Network, the network that consists of high-net-worth individuals and aims to fill the gap between government programmes and private investment; Bas Lansdorp, Founder and CEO of Mars One; Barry Matsumori, Senior Vice President – Commercial Sales & Business Development, SpaceX, Matt Perkins, CEO of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, Rick Tumlinson, Chairman of the Board in the Deep Space Industries Corporation, Gerd Gruppe, Member of the Board, Space Administration, German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and many others.
The International Space Commerce 2013 Summit will be a networking platform for businesses from Europe, America and Asia and will cover all commercial aspects of space with two sections of the programme focusing on how to optimise results and increase both short and long-term ROI of using space satellites, infrastructure, and technology.
To properly explore the long term prospects of Space, the Summit will look into latest developments in the space tourism market, again assessing both the short-term and long-term investment opportunities, with specific discussions around sub-orbital spaceflight, health and safety measures and the need for further developed amenities to facilitate space flights in the near future.
